What to Expect from the Apple iPhone 13 2021?

While Apple just recently launched the iPhone 12, the company is already working on the new Apple iPhone 13 2021. Although for many it may be simply crazy to try to predict what the new iPhone 13 will be like, the reality is that there are already many rumors on the Internet.

iPhone 13 Release Date

One of the most common questions people usually ask regards the iPhone 13 release date. Well, if the company continues to follow the same patterns from the past, we can expect to see the new iPhone being launched on the fourth Friday of September 2021. This points to September 24th, 2021.

iPhone 13 Price

When you are a fan of Apple and especially of the iPhone, then you know that the price is usually set high.

According to some rumors, the iPhone 13 will be offered in 4 different sizes again:

  • a 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini
  • a 6.1-inch iPhone 13
  • a 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro
  • a 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max.

We'd expect these to cost the same as the iPhone 12 range, so $699, $799, $999, and $1,099, respectively. Apple tends to keep its pricing structure rigid from generation to generation, so we're not expecting any increase in the sticker price.

iPhone 13 Design

While some iPhones have shown very different designs from one year to the other, we don't know if there will be so many changes. Nevertheless, we believe that one of the biggest changes to expect is the inclusion of a portless design, dropping the Lightning port, and opting for charging and data transfer to be carried out wirelessly.

In what concerns to the Face ID-holding display notch and the flat edges, we believe that the company will not change them.

iPhone 13 Display

While we already mentioned above the sizes of each one of the 4 new models of the iPhone 13, we believe that it is also important to talk about the display itself.

According to a recent rumor, the iPhone 13 may come with a 120Hz refresh rate display and make use of LTPO panel tech.

Having a 120Hz display would finally give the iPhone's OLED Retina display a refresh rate to compete with the 120Hz screens found on the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S20 lineup and OnePlus 8T.

iPhone 13 Cameras

While there aren't still many rumors around the new iPhone 13 cameras, some are mentioning that the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max may offer a new 6-element ultrawide lens. It would also offer autofocus capability.

One interesting rumor that has come up suggests Apple is looking for suppliers for a "folded lens" camera that will improve the iPhone 13's optical camera zoom. The periscope-like design means the telephoto lens would be stacked vertically, instead of horizontally, meaning you can increase the optical magnification without increasing the size of the phone.

In fact, this design is commonly used by other phone makers, including Samsung and Huawei, to increase their own optical zoom capabilities. Which iPhone 13 models will get the improved zoom is still unclear.

Anyway, 2021 is coming, what surprise do you think the iPhone 13 will bring to us?
